Julia Stiles has never danced seriously. Yet, 25 years after her role as the Juilliard-bound Sara Johnson in “Save the Last Dance,” Stiles has become an unexpected darling of the reality TV staple “Dancing With the Stars.” It’s rare for the show to attract a star of Stiles’s wattage. “I knew the show would be physically challenging, but it’s been a big emotional journey, too,” she said in an interview with The New York Times. “I can recite a monologue or do a play in front of an audience, and that doesn’t scare me. But to dance in front of people? I had to figure out how to tackle that.” Read our full interview with @missjuliastiles as she discusses the vulnerability dance requires, her Heath Ledger tribute performance and more at the link in our bio. Cardi B is firing back at podcaster Mona Love, accusing her of twisting an old conversation about colorism and dragging the rapper into her ongoing controversy with Tia Kemp. In a lengthy statement on X, Cardi explained that her 15-minute livestream from 2024 had been reduced to a 13-second clip that misrepresented her position. “I know that colorism is real I never denied that I seen it for myself,” Cardi wrote, recalling witnessing discrimination against darker-skinned women while working at a strip club. However, she pushed back against claims that her complexion explains her accomplishments. “But what Im always going to stand up for is that my skin tone is not solely the reason for my success.” Cardi then addressed Mona personally, alleging the podcaster spent years privately requesting personal, surgery and career advice, including guidance on securing brand partnerships. “Am i upset with Mona?? Yes!!” she declared, questioning why Mona never contacted her for clarification. The Grammy winner also accused Mona of resurfacing the controversy to distract from backlash surrounding her criticism of Tia Kemp, whom Cardi claimed was selling more comedy tickets. “I know why ... because you decided to use me and a sensitive topic as a scapegoat.” Cardi concluded that acknowledging colorism should not invalidate her accomplishments. “We can acknowledge that reality without diminishing my accomplishments or my experience.”
He beat cancer. We just never imagined we’d still have to say goodbye. 💔 These last four months, we fought so hard for our baby. Through the diagnosis, amputation, clinical trial, recovery, and all the highs and lows in between. And he did it. Our boy beat cancer. The trial worked. We could breathe again.. We truly thought we had more time. But after everything his body had endured, the weight and strain on his remaining legs became too much. And after fighting so hard to keep him here, we were faced with the most heartbreaking decision of our lives. Letting him rest when all we wanted was more time. What makes me so incredibly proud is knowing his fight was bigger than us. Through his clinical trial, he contributed to research that may help other dogs and families facing the same diagnosis. Our boy left a legacy, and I hope one day another family gets the extra time we so desperately wished for. But selfishly, I wanted more ordinary days. More moments like these. More of the love, comfort, and protection that he gave us so effortlessly. The house feels painfully empty without him. I still look for him everywhere. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to a world where he’s not waiting for me. My sweet boy, I would choose you a thousand times over. Every appointment, every sleepless night, every hard decision. You were worth all of it.. You took a part of me with you..and I will spend forever missing you. 💛#rottweiler #dogmom #dogsofinstagram #heartbreak
