Schrecksee Day Trip – aka “How I Lost My Legs but Found Heaven” 🏔️😅
From Munich to the most stunning lake you’ve never heard of.
🚗 Driving? Park at Parkplatz Sägewerk, then hop on the bus number 49 then 50 like a mountain boss.
🚆 No car? Take the train to Sonthofen, then:
🚌 Bus no 48 to Bad Hindelang → Bus 49 to Grüner Hut → Bus 50 to Auele
🤑 All FREE with your Deutschlandticket (except that sneaky last bus (one way 3,20€ 👀)
🥾 Hike from Auele:
⬆️ 3 hours up (hello, cardio)
⬇️ 2 hours down (knees = gone)
‼️ Not for beginners unless you enjoy crying in nature 😭😅
🕕 Don’t miss the last bus at 18:23 unless you want an extra hike home 🤪
Pack snacks. Bring water. Check the weather bring extra dry clothes last but not least Respect the cows 🐄😅
