My lil Story (i waited 10 years to write this)
I started my Ph. D immediately after i finished my masters degree and Travelled to Ibadan at least once every week for about 5 years for lab work, had to write 10 courses because i didn’t do masters at O.O.U (did masters at O.A.U😊)gave up plenty times especially when our cultures got contaminated, took leave of absence each time i got pregnant but i am grateful to God and my ever supportive husband, my parents, my siblings and my amazing friends who held my hands and didn’t give up on my dreams.
My husband drove me on several occasions to the lab, got drivers sometimes and i sometimes drove myself after declining to be driven by a driver because the expenses were getting too much…..
My younger siblings also often followed me to the lab to help with washing of my test bottles because we always had tons of them after every growth phase while my big sister helped with the kids whenever I was away…….
We got results from the lab, and then the hardest part in my opinion was thesis writing!!!!!✍️ hmmmm, i had to go everywhere with my laptop as i was literally writing and editing day and night…I am incredibly grateful to God for my amazing supervisors who also did a great job editing my write up
Then, i had to publish in a top tier peer reviewed journal!!! Hmmm, i started writing manuscripts following different journals authors guide!!! This tested and pulled me to my limits!!! But God did it eventually and my work got published!!!
I am eternally grateful to God for this great Grace to eventually finish because like i said earlier it looked mostly impossible 🙏🥰🥰
To every woman seeing this reel, your dreams are valid, go for whatever you want and trust God to see you through
Thank you for reading through my ted talk…….
With a grateful heart and songs of praise i present to you Dr. Mrs. Olusan🥰🥰🥰🥰 (Ph.D Plant Physiology and Biochemistry)
