Hi, I’m Thomas Anderson — the hands and heart behind C323 Wood Working! 🛠️
My passion for working with wood began at age eight, spending summers with my grandpa building a simple birdhouse. That project sparked something deep in me: a love for creating with my hands. Even though he passed before we could paint it, that birdhouse planted the seed. My dad nurtured it further, teaching me everything from roofing to tiling.
Years later, while earning my doctorate in physical therapy, I and my wife, Molly, bought a fixer-upper in College Station. That home became my testing ground, first with renovations, then with small furniture projects for our future children. I still remember that very first step stool: it turned out terrible, but I loved every minute of making it! A friend encouraged me to take my crafts to the Waco Downtown Farmers Market. That’s where C323 Woodworking was born — a name inspired by Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart…” It’s not just a verse; it’s how I approach every project.
By day, I’m a physical therapist, but in the evenings and weekends, I pour my energy into wood and resin—creating pens, lazy Susans, cheeseboards, and serving boards. My specialty? Those layered-resin pours that give each piece a stunning, dimensional look.
Success, to me, isn’t just sales. It’s those moments when someone genuinely connects with the craftsmanship, when they hold a piece and feel the care I’ve poured into it. That makes every late night in the workshop worth it.
This is who I am: a woodworker, a dad, a therapist, and someone who believes that every piece can bring joy, serve a purpose, and tell a story.
Thanks for being a part of this journey. – Thomas 🌳
