For all the links, comment “closet” 🤍 You might have seen this setup before, but I still get so many questions about it, so here it is again! I set up Sophia’s closet about 10 months ago when she was a little over 2, and it’s honestly been one of my favorite little projects She’s been choosing her own clothes, helping get herself dressed, and following her morning routine without me constantly reminding her what comes next. I wanted to create a space she could actually use independently, not just something that looked cute. Everything is at her level, she has enough choices without getting overwhelmed, and the visual checklist helps her know what to do next. Here’s how we did it: 🤍 IKEA KALLAX– I left out one shelf to create space for hanging clothes. The inserts and bins are also from IKEA. 🤍 Clothing rod & push lights– Both from Amazon. She uses the lights next to her checklist to mark each step as done. 🤍 Visual checklist – The set includes 45 different images that you can adjust to your own routine. We also use these in our leaving-the-house setup! 🤍 Clothing labels - I also created a separate set of 52 smaller labels for organizing clothes, toy bins, and shelves. It’s such a simple setup, but it’s made a big difference in how independently she gets ready every day. And I love that we can keep adjusting it as she grows! \#montessoriathome #montessoricloset #independenttoddler independentkids toddlerindependen
MY MOTTO IS, IF YOU WANT TO WIN THE LOTTERY, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE MONEY TO BUY A TICKET.
THE JOURNEY OF A RECORD-BREAKING EXPLORER. 🌍 2010: At 19 years old, I packed my bags and started travelling the world. 2010: Learning survival skills alongside a Burmese hill tribe. 2011: Working as a scuba diving instructor in Thailand. 2012: Training and fighting Muay Thai in Thailand. 2013: Preparing for my first world-record expedition. 2014: Became the first person to walk across Mongolia solo and unsupported. 1,500 miles in 78 days. 2015: Broke. Rejected. But already planning the next adventure. 2016: Became the first person to traverse the entire length of Madagascar. 1,600 miles in 155 days. 2017: Still broke. Rejected by TV networks, brands and speaking opportunities. But I kept going. 2018: Training for what would become my toughest expedition yet. 2019: Became the first person to walk the entire 4,000-mile length of China’s Yangtze River. 352 days. 2019: Invited onto The Joe Rogan Experience. 2020: Walking the Yangtze premiered on National Geographic. 2022: Secured a multimillion-dollar TV series, The Great Wall with Ash Dykes. 2023: Planning another world-first expedition. 2024: Became part of the first team to travel the Coppename River in Suriname from source to sea. 2025: Uncharted Amazon with Ash Dykes launched on Discovery Channel. 2025: Secured an international TV series following China’s Yellow River by land, air and water. 2026: Launched PROJECT 6. My biggest independent project yet. Six expeditions, six locations, taking you along for every moment! EXPEDITION 1 COMPLETE! 🛶 800km kayaking through the Congo Basin along the Sangha River in just 18 days! 1 DOWN. 5 TO GO. 🌍🔥 Looking back, the biggest lesson I’ve learnt is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built through years of rejection, setbacks, sacrifices and showing up when nobody is watching. Keep going. You never know where the journey might take you. And speaking of where the journey takes us… WHERE DO YOU THINK EXPEDITION 2 OF PROJECT 6 WILL BE?! 👀🌍 Get your guesses in the comments! 👇
