A very bittersweet kind of validation. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน For so long thereโ€™s always been that little voice saying, โ€œbut what if they donโ€™t find anything?โ€ What if it really is just a bad period? What if Iโ€™m being dramatic? What if all of this pain has somehow been in my head? And then to wake up and be told they found endometriosis. To finally have an answer. To know that I knew my body all along. I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve quite processed what that means yet. Thereโ€™s relief in finally being validated, but thereโ€™s also a lot to come to terms with knowing this is actually my reality. So for now, Iโ€™m just taking it all in. Feeling a little overwhelmed, very emotional, but incredibly grateful to finally have some answers. Weโ€™ll get there. One step at a time. ๐Ÿค And if youโ€™re still fighting for answers yourself, please keep advocating for your body. You know it better than anyone. #endometriosis #endometriosissurgery #endo #femaleathlete #chronicillness
