Snygga😍😍😍

Democrat Gina Hinojosa has defeated Republican Gov. Greg “Hot Wheels” Abbott, becoming the first Democratic governor of Texas since Ann Richards left office in 1995. Abbott conceded Tuesday night, ending his nearly 12 years as governor. Hinojosa, a state representative from Austin and former Austin school board president, entered the race with little name recognition against a three term governor who refused to debate her. She campaigned on public schools and lowering costs, proposing a one time $1,500 refund for Texas households and a freeze on electricity rates. Her win comes the same night James Talarico flipped the Texas Senate seat, a historic night for Democrats in the state.

Dear Founder, don’t quit.

In 2011, I walked out of Covenant University with a Mass Communication degree, a blue suit and big dreams. I had no idea RAGE Media was coming.

From 2011 to 2017, I served various high level leaders across Nigeria, diligently solving problems and making things happen behind the scenes.

In 2017, we sat around one table working on our first pitch. That was when I learnt that starting a business is not as easy as it sounds. The beginning never looked pretty. The prospect did not see anything special in what we had. 🤣

In 2018, we were 19 talents in one cubicle, in one country. Growing and making things happen for people who were crazy enough to trust us.

Today, we are 200+ talents across our group of companies, in a building of our own, with offices in three countries. We have welcomed leaders, dignitaries and friends at the Lighthouse.

Then this October, someone sent me a screenshot. The same university I graduated from in 2011 was celebrating what we built, at its 21st Convocation.

I didn’t have many words. Just: God be praised.

Business is hard. Leading people is harder. Getting people to believe in a vision they cannot yet see is close to a miracle. But it happens.

If you are in your cubicle season right now, stay in the room. One day you will look back and be thankful.

Don’t quit.
