President Tinubu claimed that upon arriving in the United States, he drove a taxi to earn money and sponsor himself through school. This claim has now prompted Nigerians to revisit his past video in which he spoke about coming from a wealthy background, raising questions about the contradiction in his accounts.

Nigerians are also questioning his government’s decision to increase university tuition fees, which were previously more affordable for many Nigerian families. The current cost of education has made it difficult for ordinary parents to keep their children in school, pushing many students towards loans that could leave them burdened with debt for years after graduation.

His super strong wife Tay announced the news in an emotional TikTok video, explaining he had moved into palliative and hospice care and was surrounded by his family at the end. She also wrote, “I lost a whole entire half of me. He fought so hard for so long. He was so tired & exhausted & in so much pain. Yesterday the only words Marcel said all day were to me & Dedric and it was ‘I’m ready to go’ and that was in the morning. He still fought to hang on all day so we just got a bit more time. I truly don’t even have words right now. I feel like this can’t be real life. How can this be real f—-g life. I thought I was going to wake up and he was still going to be here beside me. I love him with my whole entire being and life will absolutely never ever be the same.” Supporters were heartbroken by the news but also sent her love and positive words for sticking by his side through every step of the way.
