🎬 𝐂𝐞́𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 [𝐑𝐞𝐬̦𝐢𝐭̦𝐚] — 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩
During her residency in Reșița, French artist
@celinebergerkoeln shared her practical knowledge with local residents, working together to transform the city’s memories into a short artistic film.
In conversations with Mariana Troner, Andrei Szabó, and Remus Rijniță at Salonul de Arte și Industrie, one story resonated deeply: the memory of the «Casa Muncitorească» (Workers’ House), an emblematic cultural space built in 1934 through the contributions of factory workers — and lost in 2002.
Together, they decided to create a film that would carry this memory forward.
The result is 🎞 „888 LOCURI” (888 Chairs) - 12:13 min
A film by:
🖋 Mariana - wrote and narrated the voice-over
📖 Andrei - shared a personal recollection
📸 Remus - contributed archival images and a scale model of the building
🌊 Céline - documented the pond that now occupies the site
With the support of: Ioana Ciolea, Andrei Bălbărău, Alexandra Lulache, Stefan Hoffmann
