i took a step back from music for a while… about 8 months. i was burnt out and honestly just felt really defeated.

this song has been done for a long time - it’s been through so many different versions and so many hesitations. when i finally redid it back in march, it felt like me. but i still wasn’t ready to put it out then.

tonight, i finally am.

i didn’t make a big announcement. not because it doesn’t matter to me, but because it DOES. i didn’t want the pressure. i just wanted to quietly let it go.

this song means a lot to me. it’s a story i’ve carried for a while. and now, it’s yours too.
it’s not perfect. but it’s honest. and its something i’m proud of. and that’s enough.
