It was a brutal election for trans people and ultimately a rejection of attempts to demonize us. Today I celebrate the most profound political wins of my lifetime with so much gratitude to the organizers in Texas, Kansas, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and across the country who built power and won races not just at the federal level but critical races at the state and local levels. Onward in this rejection of cruelty and corruption and capitulation. We deserve so much better and we will claim our futures.
