WE ARE COVER GIRLS! 🥹💕 Still having a pinch-me moment! My very first magazine cover and what an incredible experience it was. Here’s a little behind the scenes of a day I’ll never forget. Thank you @brutalfruitza for making us feel seen, celebrated and beautiful. What’s next abillboard? 😂💗 #brutallybeautiful
What if we’ve been worrying about the wrong fat all along? Remember when butter was suddenly back in style and everyone started warning us about seed oils? I certainly do. I watched patients switch from vegetable oils to butter, convinced they were making a healthier choice. But then a Harvard-led study published in 2025 followed more than 221,000 adults for up to 33 years. And the findings tell a very different story. The researchers found that people who consumed more butter had a higher risk of premature death, while those who consumed more plant-based oils had a lower risk. Replacing even a small amount of butter each day with plant-based oils was associated with a meaningful difference in long-term health. Swipe through, and pay special attention to slide 6. It’s the kind of information I wish more people knew before changing what’s in their kitchens. And please, don’t think this means you can never enjoy butter again. I certainly wouldn’t tell you that! It’s about what you choose most often, not what you eat occasionally. To make this easier, I created a free guide that shows you which oils work best for cooking, how to bake without butter, and 7 delicious recipes that traditionally use butter, including creamy mashed potatoes and lemon cake. 👉 Comment SWAP and I’ll send it to you! And if you enjoy learning about your health this way, I’d love to welcome you into my FREE Thrive After 40 community. It’s where I break down the health topics that matter after 40, answer your general health questions, and share practical, evidence-based ways to stay healthy and manage your weight if that’s your goal.
