GDMBR Days 18 and 19 - Jackson Hole to Pinedale, WY and a rest day.

Day 18 - Jackson Hole, WY to Pinedale, WY. 91 miles and 4,200 feet climbing. Noon start - had to wait on bike tune. Front tire flat almost immediately. Think shop messed it up. Put tube in - took forever to get tire reseated. Tightest ever had a tire. Saving grace was it was hot out snd tire seemed to stretch over time. Cranked as hard as I could to get to Pinedale right at sunset. Lots of highway riding. Some of it without much of a shoulder. Pretty stressful. But pavement smooth and last 30+ miles flat to down. Went through a neighborhood to get off highway but tons of climbing on gravel. Low on water. Rough, rough day but pleased with figuring out tire and gritting out the push to get to hotel before dark. Stayed at Hampton Inn. Slept hard. Only good food option was pantry at hotel.

Day 19 - rest day to get a new tire and set back up tubeless. Took a nap, sat in hot tub. The tire is a little narrower because options were limited - second guessing decision. We will see. Watched some college football. Pinedale is apparently a happening place and had to switch to Best Western. Very limited hotel options.

Bummed to be missing out on a fun weekend in Colorado watching Brynn Maxwell play soccer and hanging with Melissa Musselman Winkelman, Ali Winkelman Maxwell and the rest of the family.
