Here’s what the race was wearing.

I scanned the shoes of every runner who passed my cameras at mile 11.7 of the New York City Marathon. Nike led with 32% of identified shoes, ahead of ASICS and Adidas at 16% each and New Balance at 11%.

Nike owned the front of the race, slipping from 41% among the fastest runners to 23% among the slowest. Carbon-plated racers fell from 85% to 40% as max-cushion and everyday trainers took over at the back.

Faces blurred, runner data blind-hashed, nothing personal kept. Not a shoe ad: it shows who wore what, not why they finished where they did. Run in whatever feels good.

انتقلت إلى رحمة الله تعالى يوم الأحد الموافق 1 نوفمبر 2026، المرحومة الحاجة خاتون النوخذة أحمد علي.

والفقيدة والدة الحاجة كلثوم، وشقيقة كل من المرحومين الحاج يونس، والحاج عيسى، والحاج محسن، والحاجة شريفة، والحاجة عفيفة.

مواعيد ومواقع العزاء:
▪️ للرجال: مأتم العدلية.
▪️ للنساء: مأتم النوخذة أحمد.
وذلك ابتداءً من يوم الاثنين ولمدة ثلاثة أيام، وفق المواعيد التالية:
صباحاً: من الساعة 8:30 حتى أذان الظهر.
عصراً: من الساعة 3:00 حتى أذان المغرب.
نسأل الله العلي القدير أن يتغمد الفقيدة بواسع رحمته ومغفرته، ويسكنها فسيح جناته، ويلهم أهلها وذويها الصبر والسلوان.
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
