my girls ; my art 🩵🪡 for my first ever runway I had the best team anyone could ask for truly , it felt more like a sisterhood then anything . all the models clicked immediately , there was so much laughter and everyone was helping everyone during fittings and glam it forreal felt very sleepover vibes lolol I don’t know how else to explain it. I’m so grateful for the behind the scenes help; my cousin Tiffany and Elica HELD IT DOWN. they made sure everyone had everything they needed and could want during and before the show. Elica did hair and make up on 12 models all by herself!!!!! ( I have never seen someone go so hard in the glam chair in my 10 years of modeling ) Tiffany kept my brain organized and whatever I forgot she already was on top of . She ran all the errands and did the absolute most for me from the help to the words of encouragement there is no way I could have accomplished this without her. She is the team In teamtigerlily; there wouldn’t have been a show without my cousin and I just don’t know how I’ll ever thank her for everything she does for me. It was a first for many of us, my first time being a designer for a runway & so many models first time walking it! I wouldn’t have wanted to share this first with anybody else because now we are all so bonded over this ; I hope to do more and I know that I have the best team and models to call. This is just the first ; to many many more and to even bigger stages . I’m bringing these girls with me . ( also I made so many looks we couldn’t even get them all on the runway lololol ) shout out to native action network for the recognition never in my life did I think I’d see “native women leading the way” next to my name. I’m so happy I started sharing my art ; I was so scared at first , of the judgment , of the comments or people just putting me in a box of whatever they seen me as before. I never wanted to be in a box ; I love learning new things I’ll never stop trying , I’ll never stop applying myself & I hope that whoever feels like they might be in a box to see this. And see they can stomp on the box and outgrow whatever you want in this life . ( rest in comments)
Which state has America’s worst gerrymander? After a year of redistricting battles, we have an answer. We’ve based our ranking on the results of thousands of computer simulations that draw districts without any consideration of partisanship or race. We compared each state’s map with the simulations, then sorted them according to two equally weighted measures: How many more seats the map gives one party, over the simulated estimates and how aggressive the gerrymander is, meaning how close the map is to the most extreme gerrymander we can cobble together out of the simulations. Because the simulations don’t take partisanship into account, some states are considered fair even if the map appears tilted toward one party or another. Hey what’s up, I’m Stefi, and 15 years ago I got obsessed with one question: Why do some people squat for decades pain free, while others get hurt all the time? 🤔 I looked into the research. I studied top lifters. Watched 1000 lifting tutorials and traveled to the best gyms in the world. Some lifters wore a belt, some didn’t. Some squatted once per week, some 3. Some squatted wide, some narrow. But I did figure out the #1 thing that makes a squat strong and safe, after: • Becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy • Setting world records in powerlifting • Founding the Institute of Strength Training • 15 years coaching lifters The formula is: the right stance for YOUR body + a straight bar path + learning how to brace… (and of course a solid training program that doesn’t tear you apart) So I changed everything to teach the basics first, then let people find their own squat. Today I coach lifters and teach coaches how to troubleshoot squats without guessing. Comment FIXME to 1) get my squat troubleshooting framework for free OR 2) DM “coach” to see how we can work together. And if this kinda thing is your thing, follow me. 🫶🏽
