I have loved Lyra's world since The Golden Compass came out in 1996. I genuinely believe I would not be the reader I am today if not for growing up reading about Lyra. I've read His Dark Materials countless times. I have a tattoo of Iorek, Lyra, and Pan. My sister and I have a matching tattoo of a bird from Lyra's Oxford. I have been waiting for this book for years, and gave up hope on a galley and was content (was I though??) to wait for the pub date of 10/23. And now I get to read this book, wrapping up Lyra's story. I am actually about to cry 😂😂
