Finally sharing these pictures from Kin Games ’25 feels surreal…

For anyone who’s been following my journey, you know this isn’t just an event for me. I’ve been part of this community for years, and it’s shaped who I am in ways I can’t fully put into words.

Back in ‘16–‘17, I was in a really dark place. I felt lost, disconnected, and unsure of who I was or where I belonged. Then I found Kin Games. That community gave me purpose, pulled me through my hardest moments, and reminded me that I was never alone. It saved my life. It’s where I found lifelong friends, a sense of home, and even love.

This year, my goal was simple: to give that same gift back. To create a space where you could be yourself, feel embraced, and become part of the family I’ve always hoped everyone could have. Because KG isn’t just an event - it’s home.

To my committee, board, ambassadors, faculty, volunteers, sponsors, my family, and especially my Co-HeadCoordinator @cbulaong - thank you for helping make this dream a reality. And to every participant: thank you for putting your trust in me and showing up with your whole heart. You are the heartbeat of this conference.

Whether this was your first Kin Games or your last, I hope you felt the same family, love, and acceptance that changed my life all those years ago.

It’s been a privilege.

Peace, love & KG 💙

Dar thank you for all you did to make kg a home for so many of us over the years! Absolute legend! Retirement may be the end of going to the conference but never will the conference leave our hearts or minds! Passing the torch is tough but building that path for others is harder and you crushed both! Love ya grand daddy dar

An honor and a pleasure to have stood by you for so many years, swapping roles, coming full circle, my rookie, to my competition, to my cappy, to my head coord. I would follow you anywhere. Friends forever 🤝💙

Thank you for an amazing kin games Dar. Your dedication, time, and effort made it a truly memorable experience. Without you and your brothers (and intramural volleyball) I never would have known what kin games was, and will forever be grateful to all of you. The memories, friends, and experiences I’ve had the last few years are all because of you guys❤️
