At 16, I heard the words, “you have cancer.” This October, I will celebrate 19 years cancer-free. Pictured is my cousin Heidi, who we lost to ovarian cancer this May.

Working with the American Cancer Society, I’m reminded every day of the importance of access, support, and hope—especially during September which is Childhood & Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

I’m pushing to make an impact for the next 7 days for a cause that hits too close to home.
