Because we just released a preprint titled “Complex Genetics and Regulatory Drivers of Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: Insights from Genome-Wide Association Study Meta-analysis“, we wanted to provide a quick breakdown of what a GWAS is and why we do them!

Examining over 7 million points within the genome, this genome wide association study (GWAS) uncovered regions of DNA that may have an effect on nerve, immune, and pain pathways. To read now, follow the link in our bio or use the link: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2025.09.19.25336146v1
