This stunning riverside country pub @thealbanypubtd has undergone a gorgeous makeover, also on their huge terrace area on the riverbank 🙌🏻🤗 So uniquely furnished for an establishment like this on the river with all paintings showing different images of the river thames. There is also a gorgeous room which can be booked for parties etc called the valentine lounge. And I was told their new chef used to work at the Ivy. No complaints whatsoever with the food or my surroundings, just delicious and gorgeous 🤩 What I chose… Nibbles, PULLED PORK, CHEEK & ASPALL CROQUETTES. Starters, PORT & CHEDDAR MUSHROOMS & RUSTIC BREAD. SEA SALT & BLACK PEPPER SQUID, CALABRIAN CHILLI MAYONNAISE. Main course from the main menu… PAN-ROASTED LAMB RUMP, Baby potatoes, chorizo, Tenderstem broccoli. From the chefs specials menu… PAN-FRIED TURBOT, Gnocchi, kohirabi pickle, yellow thai curry, tomato and spring onion salsa. Everything was absolutely delicious 😋 I even took a doggy bag home as I couldn’t waste anything 🤪 Thank you so much for having me and for the staff who were very kind and lovely and looked after me very well.
