There is a massive difference between treating fitness as a phase and treating it as a way of living. When you see those of us in our 40s and beyond who are in incredible shape, you are looking at people who stopped making sacrifices a long time ago. Instead, we made a choice. To the outside world, our lifestyle looks like a series of restrictions. No nights out, no junk food, no breaks. People think we possess superhuman willpower. But from the inside, it requires almost no willpower at all. Why? Because we made that choice which shifted our identity. We don’t crave junk food because it doesn’t agree with the body anymore. Instead, we eat what fuels us and makes us function well. There is no feeling of deprivation when your actions align perfectly with your values. For us, it isn’t a sacrifice; it is the ultimate form of self-respect. Now, look at the other side of the coin. A lot of people who look incredible at 25 will not maintain that look into their 40s. At 25, youth provides a natural biological buffer. A fast metabolism and rapid recovery can easily compensate for a lot of lifestyle inconsistencies. The trap is that when staying in shape requires less effort, it’s easy to treat fitness as a temporary project rather than learning how to truly live this way. But youth eventually expires. When that biological buffer fades and life gets complicated, a temporary project mindset completely collapses. You cannot outwork a changing biology without deep roots. For us, fitness isn’t a project we run to when we have time—it is part of our daily life.
hi 👋🏽 from your FavEx 🤣 what did you guys like so much about the costume? lol! #halloween #sick #dayquil #nyquil #kleenex
👋🏾 If you need me I’ll be grieving halloween 🥹 … Bye bye to the best day of the year! one last hall-post before I move on to something BRIGHT this week!🌈👀🔎 Okay this might be controversial but I’m all for christmas starting nov 4 but I like to leave nov 1-3 Dia de los muertos & VOTING! So please before you go all Christmas crazy don’t forget to make a voting plan & give space for those who are celebrating a sacred day! There is way too much on the line this year - so we gotta go VOTE &&& please tell your friends & families to vote too!!!! ❤️ 📅 Last year I was so good about sharing monthly recaps & I got in my head about how they started to perform less & less… worried that no one cared & I pulled back😩. This year I’ve made one almost every month & never shared it (even tho its okay to keep things for yourself too) I’ve been sad that I’ve let my insecurity stop me from celebrating our months & milestones! One of my biggest regrets from this year. ❤️‍🩹if this sounds silly to you, maybe that’s the point. The things we’re work up in our head aren’t a big deal if we zoom out or talk about them - but when we keep them inside we feel overwhelmed & alone. All this to remind you that even the people you think are confident, are probably fighting security insecurity battles too. ✨ 🔎ANYWAYS if you’ve been keeping up with my 5 point plan to get my spark & COLOR back - celebrating halloween was a big step & I THINK IT HELPED!!! Now on to sharing THE BIG thing i’ve been working on - I’m very nervous about it BUT excited for you to see… (& of course there are clues in here heheh)🥰
