@zachery_west hmmm… thanks for bringing up the stoning gay people. I had never heard that before. I looked it up and found one video of a commentator that showed the video of him quoting a portion of the Old Testament. The video I watched plays that small snippet and doesn’t allow it to be seen in full context. There has to be an attempt at understanding Old Testament law vs New Testament. The second part of the “let he who is without sin cast the first stone” concludes with Jesus telling the woman to “go and sin no more”. As for the civil rights question. Just learned about this recently because I was caught off guard when I first heard those words coming out of his mouth. I totally understand how at first glance that is very alarming. I would simply suggest diving into what the context was in those conversations. You may still end up disagreeing with his points, but if your current conclusion is “he hates black people” then I believe you’ve unfairly judged his position based on a soundbite and preconceived notions rather than really attempting to understand his position. And I can’t believe I’m even defending Charlie Kirk. I don’t even follow the guy, I just like having the discussions to see how people tick and understand them. I thank you for the cordial debate!
