Too many people are getting rage baited and manipulated into joining delusional frenzies. Not everyone is required to feel deeply moved by the loss of Charlie Kirk… he did not represent everyone, nor would he have claimed to, and his beliefs both agitated and inspired a very polarized community.

My personal opinion aside, I think it’s quite clear that Charlie Kirk was an undeniable intellectual… being a moral and political icon to some, while being a very powerful threat to others. This was the life he clearly chose. He very confidently (at least from an outside observation) put himself at the center of serious social and political issues, and sought the forums where both growing and established minds went to challenge opposing beliefs. He represented the kind of person that I assume every real believer in ANYTHING wants at the center of important issues. Ready to take questions from all sides, ready to be outnumbered in a room full of opposition, ready to stand alone in discord.

I may not have appreciated many of his views, but I admire his integrity, and have nothing but respect for his undeniable passion for truly open debate

I wrote that not everyone needs to be moved by the death of Charlie Kirk, but I have one additional observation. If you are moved in a way that has you excusing his murder, or you feel hatred towards those who honor him… I seriously doubt you are coming from a reasonable or moral standpoint. At the very least, it is a cowardly position. You see, Charlie Kirk would stand up to every single one of you to fearlessly discuss your differences… and that is the mark of enlightened human behavior, the righteous way of settling one’s philosophical and social differences… justifying this tragedy is the same as electing violence as your spokesperson… and that is the way of the barbarian

I pray the eternal discussion returns to its senses, and offer my condolences and acknowledge the loss one of its great contributors

👏 i commend you on your insight. and to some level being brave enough to even discuss the issue, in an environment that we're living in at the moment. Where so many are easily Enraged, merely, because they can hide behind a computer.... CK was extremely brave, as proven in his repeated communications with today's youth on their own home turf... as someone posted earlier, then why not give other folks that have died in vain for being so brave... i thought CK was different for just that very reason, he invited today's youth to THINK for themselves, as well as educating through debate. He was murdered by the system he always very loudly supported, no one deserves to to be murder, yes, but when you are someone who champions the right of people owning guns and doesn't believe there's a problem with the system as it is now, why should I think you're a brilliant mind? There have been plenty of lives that have been taken in the same way his was in this country this year alone, and nothing has changed, where is the posts and well constructed posts of those murders? Why is this one person so different than the other lives that have been taken in the same way before him? Is it because he was loud and had a public opinion? I'm still waiting to hear anything about what we are doing as a country to make sure this doesn't continue to happen, because to be honest, the fact that schools now have "active shooter drills" it's crazy to me, but yet it feels like we are ok with it.

This was spot on. No, I too did not agree with every point of view. I too also understood some of his point of view. THIS MAN WAS ASSASSINATED! Just because he didn't agree with everything never ever meant he was meant to be hunted and his life taken away. His assassination should let every single American know this, "We may not all have the same points of views right now. Left and Right have been bought out by who looked like an ally, but has continued to overstep. No foreign governments should have so much say and tax payers money. No foreign governments should be telling any red blooded American we need to support them. We are FREE! We are Americans who the fxck are you?! They are the ones that assassinated our fellow American. It's time we all stop fighting. Band together and kick out the foreign op who murdered CK, because he had a change of heart." Charlie Kirk, like him or not had the 1st amendment right and a foreign government behind closed doors didn't like that he knew Jesus and knew who the opposition was and they are trying to imploded our country from the inside out. We must band together now more than ever.
