Shivangi is an artist, art educator, and independent book publisher based in New Delhi. Her practice moves across drawing, comics, embroidery, bookmaking, and collaborative pedagogy — often guided by slow, reflective acts of mark-making, narrative building, and collective conversation.

A significant thread in her work is socio-political engagement — particularly around memory, access, identity, and gender. In 2015, she co-founded BlueJackal, an artist-led publishing platform for visual narratives that hold space for layered personal, political, and cultural realities.

At Serai, Shivangi will return to a long-simmering personal project: a graphic novel built around inherited stories, family memory, and the blurry space between fact, fiction, and intergenerational belief. The central thread — a comic shaped by rumours she grew up hearing about women in her family.
