28 years ago, two of the greatest voices in music history, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, united for their iconic duet “When You Believe,” released on November 2, 1998. Originally featured in The Prince of Egypt, this powerful collaboration brought together two extraordinary vocalists for a timeless musical moment. Their voices blended beautifully, delivering a heartfelt message of faith, hope, and believing in the impossible. An unforgettable collaboration between two legendary divas that continues to inspire generations! 🤩❤️🎶 #mariahcarey #whitneyhouston #1998 #90s #explore
🇯🇲 ONE MONTH TO GO! ONE JAMAICA. ONE DREAM. ONE HISTORIC CROWN! 👑🔥 Jamaica, this one is bigger than me. This one is for ALL OF US! 🇯🇲💚💛🖤 In just one month, I’ll step onto the international stage in Thailand, proudly wearing the black, green, and gold as Mister Jamaica Friendship 2026! Jamaica has given the world legendary athletes, extraordinary musicians, cultural icons, and trailblazers who have made our little island a global powerhouse. But there’s one piece of history we’re still chasing: our first international men’s pageant crown! 👑 And I believe, with every fiber of my being, that we have what it takes to bring it HOME! 🇯🇲 I’m bringing more than a sash and a smile. I’m bringing years of experience on international runways, the confidence of a man who knows who he is, the resilience of our Jamaican people, and a heart committed to representing our island with authenticity, purpose, and PRIDE. But I cannot do this alone. I NEED YOU, JAMAICA! 🇯🇲 🗳️ NOVEMBER 15 — VOTING OPENS! I’m calling on Jamaicans at home and across the diaspora to show up, vote, share, repost, and rally behind this journey! 👑 DECEMBER 10 — THE GRAND FINALE IN THAILAND! For nearly 20 years, California has drawn a line between subsidizing pay for people in front of the camera and the workforce behind it. Its refusal to offset a production’s salary for, say, Tom Cruise, has made it an outlier among the 39 states that offer production incentives and is probably the biggest reason why it’s losing its grip as the filming capital of the world. The idiosyncrasy to California’s film and TV tax credit program has been leveraged by competing states and foreign countries to coax productions into leaving. Now, Gov. Gavin Newsom is trying to fight back. On Monday, Newsom announced another major expansion to the program that, if passed, would increase the annual credit from $750 million to $1 billion and allow a portion of pay for actors, directors and producers to qualify, among other changes. At the link in bio, THR's Winston Cho and Katie Kilkenny dive into whether including above-the-line costs in incentives for shows like HBO Max's 'The Pitt' could lure more productions back to Hollywood.
