Well here it is; something less creepy, cryptic and curmudgeon. Really this is a project that started long ago in July 2025 at a very sweet and very sweaty plant sale at
@cistusnursery where
@kiiinnndddaaa and I played some tunes all day long for friends, on
@_sean_hogan wonderful property, and brought home some very spiky plants. PRTTY TYPICAL - I had no where to plant my new friends so the process started of getting moundy! Figured it was time to finally leave my front yard alone and start something right in my backyard the correct way. Big mound baby. Once I had the general blob shape I began ripping and grippin the sod. Next it was important to invest a little bit xtra on soil so ask our good friends at
@burienbark to deliver a huge ass pile of custom mixed soil (1 part perlite 2 part soil for that sharp drainage you feel me?). shout out to Paul for helping with the relocation and also helping me source some big ass FREE rocks from OfferUp locally. So logically I had to buy a truck to complete the project. She’s a 1989 Ranger (same year I was born) manual RWD and I have no regrets. NONE. Trucks are cool and I don’t mind if you pass me.
Well anyways back to the mound. Really loving how this turned out, can’t wait to see these pups grow up into massive scary plants that could literally hurt you if you’re not careful with them. Especially excited to see
@linda.popovetsky mutant agave turn into something unruly. See last slide for the mother plant.
Anyways, I thought it would be fun to dedicate the garden to my nephew and name it Archie’s Garden, something that will remind him of the Baja Life he’s used to in LA
@onlytwin @samanthadutton Also a few pics of some of my gardens. And I started wearing Hawaiian shirts too, just feels right when your toes are this sandy all the time.
As-salamu alaykum ✌️
