Here’s what I’ve learned from starting over.

1️⃣ It’s okay to walk away from security for a dream.

People will absolutely look at you like you’re crazy. Your family and friends will say, “don’t do it.” But there’s more comfort in knowing you chose yourself. I always say sink or swim: it’s my decision to choose. And if things don’t work out? The job will always be there. 🤷🏽‍♀️

2️⃣ Moving to a new city will test your identity.

Every time. But you’ll meet new versions of yourself. Ones you never would’ve met if you stayed in your hometown. And I don’t know how that’s not beautiful. 🥹

3️⃣ You have many lives to live in this one lifetime.

Shake things up. Try something different. We’re not meant to be the same person every day. Evolve. Turn the page. Start a new chapter. Be the caterpillar who became a butterfly. 🦋

4️⃣ Discomfort doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

It means you’re in the middle of becoming. And the woman you’re becoming? She’s so worth the stretch. 🤸🏽‍♀️

5️⃣ You will find your people.

Alignment attracts alignment. The friends you make in this season will love you deeper than those who only knew your past. Just be open to new experiences and people. Say “yes” more. Try new things. That version of you deserves a new circle too. 🫂

6️⃣ Starting over is not failure.

It’s an act of radical self-respect. Every time you choose you, you reset the trajectory of your entire life. People who’ve never been where you’re going won’t understand until you get there. Cut the noise and keep moving. 📈

7️⃣ You will figure it out.

I promise. The mess, the fear, the unknown… it’s all temporary. The life you’re calling in is built through the discomfort and chaos. 💕

Life gets beautiful again, I promise. And this time, it’s truly yours. 🪞🌴
