Utah was such a blast!
After looking over at least 250 different bucks over 11.5 days, we finally found the no doubter. Between the muzzleloader having some loose parts and watching the buck run over the ridge after bumping him, we definitely worked for this buck hiking up and down the mountain a few times.
I’ll probably never experience another DIY, public land deer hunt like this but it was one I’ll never forget!
Big thanks to Bo, Kyle and Shawn for making the trip and reassuring me that I wasn’t a complete fool for passing up bucks!
Also a big thanks to my wife Annie, for once again holding down the fort and taking care of business and the kids! I’m lucky to have her!
