This is just evil A subtle texting trick involves replacing the lowercase letter “l” in “love” with a capital “I,” creating “Iove.” The two characters look nearly identical in many fonts, making the difference easy to miss. Although the message appears to say “love,” the word is technically spelled incorrectly. The joke is that someone might deliberately use this spelling because they don’t actually love the person they’re texting. By never technically writing the word “love,” they can convince themselves they haven’t genuinely expressed those feelings, despite the recipient having no reason to notice the difference.
