Techno warrior 🔥

A decade after being diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor, Osaka-born ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U – or simply, Yousuke Yukimatsu – has come out the other side to become one of the most exciting, fervent and iconic DJs of the 2020s.

Nowadays, this peace-loving rave warrior is igniting dancefloors worldwide, delivering outrageous blends with a thrillingly unpredictable approach to genre. From Aphex Twin and Taylor Swift to the most cutting-edge cuts in underground dance music, his supercharged sets have to be seen to be believed.

For his first-ever print magazine cover interview, the Japanese phenomenon sat down with DJ Mag’s Joe Roberts to discuss his philosophy, and how his musical trajectory has taken him from heavy metal to electronic music, all via the lodestar of rave titans The Prodigy, who he’s been on tour with this summer.
