Hello, friends! I can't believe it's already November 🍁 Thank you so much for all the warm messages during my break ☺️ Many of you have asked when I'll be back, but I'm not sure yet 🙇‍♀️ I'd been a little worried about Clover's health, and tests showed his thyroid levels were high, so he started medication last month. For now, I'd like to take things at my own pace and enjoy peaceful days with Clover 🌱 With just two months left in the year, I hope you all have many wonderful days ahead ☺️😸🍀
The same thing that makes ibuprofen and other NSAIDs work on pain also lowers the protection on your stomach lining... On a recent Ask Me Anything episode, a listener asked me, “How bad is ibuprofen really?” I hear it all the time in my telehealth practice, usually from someone who wants to know if one or two for a headache or cramps is okay. Here’s what’s happening... Ibuprofen, naproxen, and aspirin are NSAIDs, and they work by blocking enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) that make prostaglandins. Prostaglandins drive inflammation, swelling, and pain, which is why blocking them helps. But they also protect your stomach lining, reduce excess stomach acid, stimulate gut-protective mucus, and support your kidneys and blood flow to your liver. So when we block them, we’re not only turning down pain. We’re turning down the things that protect your gut. The more you take and the more often you take it, the more likely you are to run into issues. But I don’t want you to be afraid of it! If one ibuprofen a month is what gets you through a day of bad cramps, or a headache is keeping you from sleep, the benefit can outweigh the risk. Use the lowest dose that works, as infrequently as you can, and if you take it regularly, check in with your doctor. If you reach for it often, it’s worth trying natural options like curcumin, boswellia, white willow bark, and magnesium, and asking what’s behind the pain in the first place. Comment PAIN and I’ll send you the article, plus my other resources. ❤️❤️ Have you ever swapped ibuprofen for something else? Tell me below what’s worked for you! #artofbeingwell #selfhealers #guthealth #inflammation #naturalremedies
The 2027 Revive Our Hearts ministry calendar is here! Each month features encouraging quotes from Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth and original watercolor artwork by Ciara Dierking, whose story is one of breathtaking gratitude. A quadruple amputee and watercolor painter, Ciara creates from a place of deep surrender—and it shows. Her work brings warmth, beauty, and hope to every page. This month, your donation of any amount will bring this calendar into your home and help take the truth of God’s Word to women around the world. Comment “CALENDAR” and we’ll send you a link to get your copy. Or visit ReviveOurHearts.com 💙
в этом и суть….. 😉
