One of the best parts of releasing a book is getting to visit bookshops all around Australia, as someone who has waged a lifelong romance with bookshops. When I was a kid I distinctly remember getting lost multiple times in shopping centres because I’d walk into a bookshop and sit down and literally lose track of time while browsing books. Once I disappeared for over an hour, and couldn’t work out why my mum was furious with me. Anyway, today is love your bookshop day, and I’d really like to thank all the shops that have been enthusiastically recommending In Spite of You, it’s kinda the biggest deal in the world to me
