I’ve been trying to get over my fear of hand sewing… and I think this project cured me. Another fear: white jeans (I am messy). I attached a bunch of vintage hankies & fabric from my wife’s grandma’s fabric stash to thrifted jeans 🪡☝️steep learning curve with lots of finger pokes & figuring out the right needle/ thread combo (sashiko) 🧵

That looks so good! I have an aversion to hand stitching, until I do it, then I love it! Then I forget I love it and have the aversion again.

I love the finished look but I love even more the story about the fabrics.

These came out so cute. I especially love that the back pocket looks like the hankie is hanging out of the pocket
