I’m just goofin - New Moon goofin 🌑

Even if you’re not a moon fanatic, everyone can appreciate the cycles within cycles of the moon 🌗

When the sun shows up, it’s always burning bright, consistent in its daily appearance.
But our perception of the moon shifts daily. The mysteriousness of a new moon to the excitement of a full moon and everything in between are subtle invitations to set goals, reflect, reassess and rest on a monthly basis.

That was the inspiration for my first tattoo, a little moon on my ankle 🌙 An impulsive (or intuitive depending how you look at it 🤔) flash tattoo I got on Oct 13th, 2017 - one month after I moved from Michigan to California.

It’s been 8 years since I came to Orange County as a biomedical engineering grad student 🤯
Right brained, analytical, and thinking I could take on the world if I studied hard enough 🥹

Since then I’ve learned studying can only get you so far - if you want to take on the world it requires living, failing, learning and loving out of your comfort zone.

Here’s to more life lessons, fresh vision boards, and feral full moons in the next 8 year cycle 🫡
