2025 • HitC: Work in Progress: It is my honor and privilege to share one of my new works (while still in progress) for my 2nd and highly anticipated painting collection. Those who support, collect and follow my personal work know I wear my heart on my sleeve and find power in vulnerability with guidance from God. As a literal Work in Progress, I found my purpose long ago in discovering self worth, belonging, value, understanding, faith and hope in art. Multiple layers. Pounds of oil paint. Alchemy in creating medium for controlling paint. Deep meanings and universal stories. All of these layers serve as my painting palette. While in my practice, the process became more therapeutic and a spiritual exploration. Every paint mark is a decision I must live with. If it works great. If it doesn’t, I give myself grace, allow it to dry, and try again. No time for over thinking, self doubt, and insecurity. Just the practice of doing it anyway, built so much confidence in all my life decisions. Painting has become and always will be my life practice. To love myself enough to create and know, even when the inevitability of a bumpy and uncertain road appears, it will always work out in the end when I trust myself.
