This Halloween was the best Halloween I have ever experienced because I got to spend it with Andrew McMahon ( @amnthewilderness ) and @jacksmannequin
As most of you know, the last 18 months have been the toughest, darkest time of my life. The thing that has been a rock for me, and that has kept me going is Andrew McMahon, and his 3 musical projects. Andrew’s music has kept me alive, and is the so much of why I get up every day. On Halloween night, my wildest dreams came true, and I got to meet the man whose music saved my life. After, of course, getting to watch the band sound check with two of my favorite songs and two super deep cuts. Andrew is the kindest, gentlest, coolest, most down-to-Earth, genuine, and loving soul I’ve ever encountered.
It was also so awesome to discover @itshellogoodbye , the opener of the concert, who I will definitely be going to see when he comes back to town in March.
The night ended perfectly, when we found out that my mom (@agawhaaattt ) won a SIGNED DRUM HEAD by the band, after donating to the @dearjackfoundation , an organization support cancer patients and survivors ages 18-39, as that is the most overlooked age demographic for resources for cancer patients. The Dear Jack Foundation means SO MUCH to my family and I, and so does Andrew.
Also, @mikeythekid , @boboxblood and @45degreebeat are incredible musicians who inspire me so much (and Mikey’s Carmy costume from The Bear was extremely well executed and I am SO jealous of his curl volume)
Andrew McMahon and his music saved my life. I wouldn’t be sitting in bed writing this post if I hadn’t heard Andrew’s songs.

And to Andrew,
As I told you through the happiest tears ever when we met, “Thank you for making me believe that there is hope out there, and that things will get better, and thank you for keeping me alive.” I can’t wait to see you on the Holiday From Real Cruise!
