#AD Took a trip down memory lane and went to visit Borough Park, home of @workington_afc_official, to learn how this well-loved football ground is being transformed into the new Cumberland Sports Village.
But a bigger and better football stadium needs more power - and that’s where @nationalgriduk #TheGreatGridUpgrade comes in. It willbring cleaner energy from more affordable sources, so local spaces like the newCumberland Sports Village can keep growing.
As a proud Cumbrian, it’s also brilliant to hear that The Great Grid Upgrade is expected to bring economic growth and job opportunities to Workington and its surrounding communities.
