We went to Nara on Friday. Nara has hundreds of tame deer that expect to be fed. They bow their heads to ask for more and seem to understand the sign for” all done”. We went to the “Fat Buddha” Temple and visited a Shinto Shrine. We had an amazing lunch at a Japanese Curry place tucked away in a residential area, shopped in some artisan crafts stores, had some mid afternoon coffee and gelato, the boys won a “major award” (a trinket paper fan) at a cork shooting game 😂 and then headed back to Kyoto for salad, pizza and origami. Today we start the long journey back home…grateful to share these experiences with my family and good friends ☺️🙏🏯
