The Colossus of Rhoads 2017-2022 I spent years working on this, losing interest, hating it, finding it buried then repeating the cycle. I just uncovered this Randy Rhoads tribute piece among a bunch of buried artwork and I think I finally don’t hate it. Me me me blah blah blah… just lost interest in posting this.
Yeah, so, art… this started as an ink drawing with pigment liner. It’s inspired by the statue of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Great Wonders of the World. When I moved to color I threw every medium I had at it, sometimes painting over the ink with acrylic to finesse the original drawing. I could never get his face right because I could never find any high res images to use as reference. Randy rips

Nice place to visit, tho. There’s a Harley Davidson Cafe on the island, surrounded by little Jap bikes and Italian scooters.
