Menko Bidang Hukum, HAM, Imigrasi, dan Pemasyarakatan, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, mengatakan dugaan tindakan penyadapan terhadap presiden mengarah pada tindakan makar. Kata Yusril, dugaan tindakan penyadapan yang dilakukan oleh mantan Kapolri dan sejumlah perwira tinggi itu terindikasi bertujuan untuk melumpuhkan presiden.
