Feeling alone, would love to hear how you coped with all this while being back at work 😭

I know I’m very lucky in many ways to be able to work from home. I’m also 25 weeks pregnant which adds to the emotions and exhaustion. The inconsistency hurts, I just want to be there for my son but I realize I can be there 24/7.

Listen to my new podcast The Thoughtful Advocate on YouTube and podcast platforms for my full parenting journey. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I’ve never been more fulfilled.

I'm not a mom but grew up helping with my mom's in home daycare. I watched so many parents struggle through this stage. Their little ones would have complete meltdowns when they were dropped off and the parents just had to leave and go to work. I want to ensure you that you're not alone. This is a normal stage and society is built this way intentionally so that women burn out and break down. Stay resilient and try to give yourself the care and patience you deserve too (especially while pregnant!). I think your baby might know that you're nearby, so he stays disregulated longer? At daycare, the kids would usually move on after a short but intense cry.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time 😟 I think it's completely normal for mom's to have a hard time going back to work & leaving their baby. Also, as an ECE it's compelling normal for babies to have separation anxiety that can last days-months! You're doing your best mama ♥️
