Josey Montana McCoy

It is with the heaviest hearts that we announce that our beloved cat Rex is no longer with us. He has been the main character of our family for the last 14 years, and we are simply devastated.

Rex is survived by his brother The Dude, as well as his human family Josie, Josey, and Lincoln. Special acknowledgements to former roommates Richie, Steve, Charlette, Jess, KC, Brenda, Jared, Kelly, Craigslist Guy, and Miss Brenda Gale.

Rex was born near Agoura Hills, where he was rescued by two plucky new transplants who thought they were all grown up, but were still just kids. He loved one single red ribbon, a plastic flower toy, and the Ultimate Stretch. In his mid-life, wrestling The Dude was a main highlight for Rex. In later life, he was mostly a cuddler, and loved to get pets and kisses from Lincoln. Throughout it all, he was an assistant to every repairman, a warm and cuddly teddy bear, and an impeccable host.

He was also a schemer, and if he owes you money, I’m sorry to say that you will never see that investment.

Rex, you made every single day brighter. You were the cat of a lifetime, and your departure to the great pile of wrapping paper in the sky has left us simply bereft.
