Raising the next generation.

My daughter is 9 years old and I take every opportunity I can to bring her to the site, bring her to the lumber yard, the dump, to let her fix something with her own hands.

If she wanted to be a carpenter, I’d be thrilled, but the point isn’t to shape her in my image, but to show her how capable she can be with consistent effort.

As a carpenter “learn to cope” has become my personal ethos. We all face challenges. Some people more than others, but our ability to deal in reality no matter what that reality is, is what’s important.
