On 25th November 2025, the Mizoram Badminton Association (MBA) warmly welcomed home the victorious Indian Junior Boys’ Champion Team at Lengpui Airport. The players received an enthusiastic reception from officials, supporters and well-wishers who gathered to honour their outstanding achievement at the Yonex-Sunrise 48th Inter State – Inter Zonal & National Junior Badminton Championship 2025.
To celebrate this historic triumph, a special programme was organised at the Mizoram Badminton Centre (MBC), Zuangtui, followed by a grand dinner in honour of the champions.
The programme at MBC was graced by Shri Jeje Lalpekhlua, MLA and former Indian football player, as the Chief Guest, and Shri John Lalpeka, CEO of GIG Motors, as the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries congratulated the team for bringing pride not only to Mizoram but to the entire region, praising their dedication, teamwork and discipline.
MBA extends heartfelt appreciation to all supporters, partners and families who have stood behind the team throughout their journey. Congratulations once again to our young champions for this remarkable achievement!
