Was talking with the homie recently and he said something that’s been on my mind since: “Nobody with my DNA has ever had this much access.”

On the anniversary of so much grief this week I am reminded how my story, like so many of ours, is one along a history of trials turned triumph. The privilege to take risks and fail and rebuild stronger is indeed a mf privilege. We often forget that we were forged by the desires of those who survived the Atlantic. Migrated through the Carolinas. Escaped Jim Crow in Arkansas. And found possibility in the north country. And I’m here to protect and serve through that original vision and purpose and help my people escape the matrix in the process.

So the side quests, the growth, and the stillness are all part of the mission my mother put me and my siblings on. And the wildest part is this is only the beginning.
