For many years, I carried something heavy inside me the racism and bullying I faced when I was young. I never spoke about it, never showed it. But this year, I chose to open my heart and share that truth with the entire HAIRFEST community. 🖤

If you’ve met “George at HAIRFEST”, please remember this: that version of me isn’t the real me. It’s a George under pressure, carrying massive responsibility, trying to hold together a movement that has become bigger than all of us. HAIRFEST is my mission and with that mission comes stress, anxiety, and an overwhelming need to make everything perfect.

To everyone who came, supported, and stood by me once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope you understand that the real George exists somewhere out there in his everyday life… quieter, softer, and simply human. 🙏❤️

Για πολλά χρόνια κουβαλούσα μέσα μου κάτι πολύ βαρύ τον ρατσισμό και το bullying που δέχτηκα όταν ήμουν μικρός. Ποτέ δεν το είπα, ποτέ δεν το έδειξα. Αλλά φέτος αποφάσισα να ανοίξω την καρδιά μου και να μοιραστώ αυτή την αλήθεια με ολόκληρη την κοινότητα του HAIRFEST. 🖤

Αν έχετε γνωρίσει τον “Γιώργο του HAIRFEST”, να θυμάστε κάτι: αυτός δεν είναι ο πραγματικός Γιώργος. Είναι ένας Γιώργος μέσα στο άγχος, με τεράστια πίεση και ευθύνη, που προσπαθεί να κρατήσει ζωντανό ένα κίνημα που έχει γίνει μεγαλύτερο από όλους μας. Το HAIRFEST είναι η αποστολή μου και μαζί της έρχονται άγχος, στρες και η ανάγκη να γίνουν όλα τέλεια.

Σε όλους όσους ήρθαν, με στήριξαν και στάθηκαν δίπλα μου για ακόμη μία φορά, σας ευχαριστώ μέσα από την καρδιά μου. Ελπίζω να καταλαβαίνετε ότι ο αληθινός Γιώργος βρίσκεται κάπου εκεί έξω, στην καθημερινότητά του… πιο ήσυχος, πιο ανθρώπινος. 🙏❤️
