Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday claimed that three crore of the 13 crore voters removed from the electoral rolls during the special intensive revision were “Bangladeshi infiltrators”. The Opposition has been raising concerns about how the voters were being deleted from the electoral rolls, alleging that 13 crore voters had been intentionally removed where the revision exercise has taken place. At a rally in Hyderabad on Monday, Shah claimed that of the 13 crore names that had been deleted, more than 6.2 crore voters had been shifted, nearly three crore had died and over one crore were duplicate entries.
