I thought this was gonna be a Photographer meets Rockstar and falls in love kinda story but oh boy was I wrong.
The blurb does not tell you a fraction of what you are getting yourself into.
and I loved that. You are thrown right into this not so glamerous Rockstar life in which Remi then enters to film a documentary. You met the band and I instantly was hooked to find out what went down between Remi and Foster- only that you won’t find out what really happend totally until the end. You get pieces of Remi and Fosters past and their connection in the Before and Now ( the title fitting perfect) this storyline captured me whole. I loved the banter and this special tension between Remi and Foster but also the connection and the struggles of the bandmembers. You really get to know all the characters a bit more chapter for chapter. For me personally one of the best Rockstar Romances with so much interesting and deep back story that I did not expect at all.
As Audiobook girl i need to say something about the narrators too of course
Both of them were new to me.
@mkblackwoodnarrator portrayed the broken but yet independent Remi really good. She was a loveable character right from the start. And @readbythefox as Foster 😱 what a brilliant voice for the sensetive lost rockstar. I need more of those two narrating in my ears. #cgblaine #beforenow #rockstar
