Lilia Gross

Gaïa is the primordial matter and living planetary body, a foundational figure from Greco-Roman myth. The dancer’s body, synchronized with ethnic music, becomes a conduit for this planetary cycle of birth, withering, and death.

Created in the context of the New Year, the work alludes to the closing and reopening of the life cycle — a moment of transition where endings and renewal coexist.
