Drowned by fake fur.
Wrapped in the plastic it sheds.
Silenced by the damage no one wants to admit.
Awakened by the only real skin — the Hanson graffiti jacket.
She breaks through the plastic
and refuses to wear it, breathe it,
or become it ever again.
